In the five short months since it launched Fallout 4 has spawned tons of mods – many of which were created before the official Creation Kit tools were released. Now, the creative gloves can truly come off with Bethesda’s public release of the Fallout 4 Creation Kit.

NVIDIA has kicked off the Fallout 4 Mod Contest to help get those creative mod juices flowing. They’ll be giving away $40,000 in prizes, which include everything from Fallout 4 swag to the grand prize of $10,000 in cold, hard cash along with a custom-made Fallout 4 PC and official engineering support from NVIDIA.

In addition to the Grand Prize winner, three more people will receive $5,000 cash awards, an NVIDIA GeForce GTX GPU and a Bethesda gift bag, which includes:

  • A PC Fallout 4 Pip-Boy Edition
  • A Fallout 4 Funko Pop figure
  • A Fallout 4 bobblehead
  • A Fallout 4 Nuka Cola hat
  • A Fallout 4 shirt
  • A Fallout 4 Vault Boy mask.

Another 16 finalists will receive an NVIDIA GeForce GTX GPU and a Bethesda gift bag with the goodies listed above. You’ll find all the details laid out for you in NVIDIA’s official rules, terms, and conditions.

Showcase Your Creativity with the Fallout 4 Creation Kit
The Creation Kit is the actual software tools Bethesda used to make Fallout 4, neatly packaged up for you to use to your heart’s content to make killer mods for Fallout 4. Bethesda has a long history of supporting mod efforts with its games, having released similar tools for past games like The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim. This open-world role-player game is still going strong five years after its release and enjoys a robust modding community that has produced nearly 50,000 mods to date.

Fallout 4 is already off to a very strong start – and the debut of the Creation Kit will only help as many talented modders have been waiting for its debut to bring their ideas to life.

All you need to do to be eligible to win is to grab yourself a copy of the Creation Kit (linked below) and create something unique for Fallout 4 players to enjoy in one of the following four mod categories:

  • Status (dialog tweaks, audio add-ins, general patches, UI revamps, utilities, etc.)
  • Inventory (weapons, weapon adjustments, items, clothing, or others)
  • Data (anything Workshop Mode or quest-related)
  • Map (environmental mods such as vegetation, new structures or locations, weather-related, or similar)

Get Your Fallout 4 Mod Contest Details Here
To get started, simply download the Bethesda.net Launcher, create a Bethesda.net account, log-in to the launcher and follow the prompts to download and install the Creation Kit. From there, the only limits are your imagination and, of course, the contest deadline.

You’ve got until July 3, 2016 to enter your mod into the contest for consideration. So, roll up those sleeves and get to work. When your mod is ready, simply upload it—along with a screenshot and/or a video showing what it does—to Bethesda.net.

Then, head on over to the official NVIDIA Fallout 4 Contest page to submit your entry form, as well as a mod description, YouTube link, mod screenshot and the Bethesda.net mod URL.

On July 11, 2016, NVIDIA will list the top 20 finalists on the contest homepage, and you’ll be able to vote on which one should take first place in each category, including the grand prize.

NVIDIA will announce the winners very soon after this date—so stay tuned to GeForce.com for the results.
