The Battlefield 4 Bucket List – 5 Awesome Things to Try

From Megalodon to SUAV trolls, find out what you're missing.
This article is over 10 years old and may contain outdated information

Regardless of the growing pains that Battlefield 4 went through, it’s still one of the most enjoyable first-person shooters available. Sure, the majority of your time should be spent playing the objective and helping your team win, but with so much to see and do, it’s important to take some time to enjoy the things that make the game incredible. With that in mind, here’s our personal five item Battlefield 4 bucket list.

Road Kill a Camper with an SUAV

We’ve all been there. You’re minding your own business and capturing an objective when some jerk-face, rooftop camper shoots you from across the map. It’s not the distance that bothers you, it’s the fact that you know the player will be on that very rooftop, regardless of whether their team needs them or not, all the way through to the end of the game. While there are a lot of ways to deal with people like this, we’ve recently discovered what is perhaps our favorite – the SUAV troll.

Participate in Gloves for Tags

Given that we know the creator and organizer of Gloves for Tags, this one might be something most of you have never heard of. Essentially, it’s an opportunity for you to play with members of the Battlefield 4 community, trying to take each other’s tags and win a pair of Mechanix Wear gloves. It’s really that simple. Take the designated target’s tags and they’ll send you a free pair of Mechanix Wear gloves. Give them a Follow on Twitter, or Visit the Facebook Page for more information.

Get a Cannon Kill on Operation Motar

It’s rather simple to do if you’re patient and don’t try to force it, but getting a kill with one of the cannons in the Fort on Operation Mortar is incredibly satisfying, not to mention it’ll earn you the No Parley trophy. If you’re playing Conquest Large, head to the D flag and into the Fort. Approach and take control of a cannon, then wait for an unsuspecting adversary to wander into your line of fire. It’ll be super cool for you, but wildly embarrassing for your foe.

Score a Long Range Headshot

You might find it odd that we’d suggest doing this after complaining about rooftop campers, but getting a long range sniper headshot in Battlefield 4 is something everyone should experience. There’s simply nothing like watching a player drop from more than 500 meters away. To do this, you’re going to want to unlock the Ballistic 40x, Range Finder and Bipod for one of your bolt action sniper rifles. Take up a position that is a long way from a popular rooftop camping location, then zero in. When someone gives you the shot, take it, then quickly get back in the action and PTFO.

Activate the Megalodon Easter Egg

We here at Prima Games have spoken about the Megalodon on Nansha Strike quite a few times, but you’ll get no apology for that. In our opinion, it’s one of the coolest things about Battlefield 4. It’s not only awesome to experience, but it’s also an example of a developer who cares and listens to their fan base. If you want to experience it, get 10 people in the water near the lone buoy on Nansha Strike, then make sure your capture card is recording… there’s simply nothing else like it.

That’s our bucket list for Battlefield 4, and we thank you for taking the time to read it. If we could ask you for one more favor, it would be for you to post your own bucket list in the comment section down below. What is one thing you believe every Battlefielder should experience at least one time?
