Red Dead Redemption 2 PC Mod Adds Joker to the Wild West

Red Dead Redemption 2 is finally out on PC and the mods have already begun to pour in.

Joker, meet the Wild West in the first Red Dead Redemption 2 PC mod. That’s right, the Rockstar open-world game is finally out on PC and already the modders are hard at work. With Joaquin Phoenix’s rendition of Joker being a major hit in the box office, PC players felt like he needed a little additional spotlight within the western game.

The mod comes from RedDeadModders.com and can be found by the same name over on Nexus Mods. Installation instructions aren’t set in stone at this time since it only just went live but the files are ready to be downloaded for those that are interested in this re-texture mod that morphs Arthur Morgan into the Joker.

If you look at the RedDeadModders website, the team also teased that they have other similar projects in the works, including one that brings the Terminator into the mix. The team is talented and let’s be real, the second we knew that Red Dead Redemption 2 was coming to PC, we knew the mods were coming. Really, it’s only a matter of time before Thomas the Tank Engine crashes the party.

For those that have followed my previous works at other sites, you know that I’m a huge fan of mods. When I’m not making them, I’m using them, and have covered them religiously over the course of my career. That being said, I’ll go ahead and issue the same warning I always do: Make sure to back up your files! Though most mods go off without a hitch, with a game as massive as Red Dead Redemption 2, you don’t want to lose all of that hard-earned progress just in case a mod file turns sour or was downloaded incorrectly. Back up those files and protect your game.

As for Red Dead Redemption 2, the game is officially available on Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and PC! Enjoy, and happy modding!
