What did you think of this week’s Nintendo Indie World Showcase?

It was really odd to see Sega and Konami as part of it, with in-house IP from both of them. Even worse is how House of the Dead Remake was just tossed into a highlight reel.

Adding to that, what do you think of the new blue Switch Lite color?

It looks nice! But between this and Yoshi's Story Nintendo seems to love stretching the difference between blue and purple and calling it blue regardless.

Were there any announcements this week that caught your eye?

Castlevania season 4, with a possible follow-up is super hype, especially now that Ellis is out.

Favorite piece on the site this week and why?

Jesse has me super interested in Diablo II Resurrected

Playing any fun games this weekend?

Yep! One of them I won't be able to talk about until next week, and the other is Axiom Verge... for reasons...

Have any TV, anime, movie, or music recommendations?

Catch up with Castlevania if you haven't yet! It can get cringey in an edgelord way at times but they way it adapts Castlevania III into Curse of Darkness is really cool.

Bonus question, have you ever spent money on a F2P game on things like cosmetics? How do you feel about optional purchases in F2P games?

I have! I was super into Dragalia Lost during its first year, and dropped money occasionally on different things. The purchases were more motivated by supporting the devs than anything in particular.

What did you think of this week’s Nintendo Indie World Showcase?

I thought it was super solid. A lot of great titles there that look interesting and I'm excited to play a bunch of them when I finally have time!

Adding to that, what do you think of the new blue Switch Lite color?

Blue? It's totally purple I don't care what anyone says.

Were there any announcements this week that caught your eye?

House of the Dead Remake seems super weird but I'm here for it.

Favorite piece on the site this week and why?

Very much enjoyed Lucas' piece on the Fortnite Apple case.

Playing any fun games this weekend?

Everything I'm playing this weekend is under embargo except my nightly Valorant!

Have any TV, anime, movie, or music recommendations?

The Circle season 2! It's trash television but I love it.

Bonus question, have you ever spent money on a F2P game on things like cosmetics? How do you feel about optional purchases in F2P games?

I don't want to admit how much money I have sunk into Valorant currently. I'm a sucker for a good weapon skin.

What did you think of this week’s Nintendo Indie World Showcase?

I had a lot of stuff going on while it was happening but I caught up with it afterwards. I love some of the game announcements especially Aztech Forgotten Gods, that one looks like it'll be really fun, I'm looking forward to playing it in the future.

Adding to that, what do you think of the new blue Switch Lite color?

It's adorable, it looks like a cute little blueberry. If I bought one (and I don't need it, even though I want it) I'd totally buy a case for it and put a blueberry sticker on that case. Aaaand now I want it even more lol.

Were there any announcements this week that caught your eye?

Aloy coming to Fortnite, the Gord reveal, and Temtem's expansion. It's a "you love to see it" kind of thing for each of them, all for different reasons.

Favorite piece on the site this week and why?

Loved Jesse's Diablo II Resurrected preview, the Apple court diss track piece from Lucas, and I'll add my interview with the Stronghold team as I put a lot of work into it and I'm happy with how it turned out.

Playing any fun games this weekend?

I'm going to jump back into Temtem to check out all the new stuff added in the expansion. Gonna catch me some cool Digital Temtem!

Have any TV, anime, movie, or music recommendations?

I've been absolutely loving Sweet Home on Netflix and I highly, highly recommend it. If you're ok with reading subtitles, and cool with horror and gore, you will absolutely love it. Also if you like shows like Kingdom, you'll probably enjoy Sweet Home.

Bonus question, have you ever spent money on a F2P game on things like cosmetics? How do you feel about optional purchases in F2P games?

Ohhh yeah, I have and still do. In the past, I used to spend a lot on cosmetics in Paladins, I was really addicted to Paladins and still play a match or two every now and then.

Lately though I've been spending money in Fortnite and at first I felt weird about it but you know, whatever makes you happy. I love Aloy and Horizon Zero Dawn, so being able to play the game dressed as Aloy makes me really happy.
