What do you think of the new PlayStation VR controllers?

They’re definitely a good idea. The worst thing about the first PSVR was having to use those godforsaken Move controllers. Having something that’s bespoke instead of retrofitted will be a huge improvement. Now just figure out motion sickness and I’m in!!

Are you excited for Life Is Strange: True Colors?

Life is Strange never really grabbed me. I’m glad it’s in the space it has, but the way it goes for edgy plot twists really rubs me the wrong way. So I dunno! Maybe I’ll check it out.

How about all of those Xbox Game Pass titles?! What’s one of your favorite “new additions” to Xbox Game Pass that’s been added recently?

I just got a gaming machine, so I’m looking forward to trying out Evil Within, which apparently has new updates on Game Pass PC. I don’t really care about Bethesda otherwise, haha.

Was there any news this week that you found surprising?

Definitely Sony buying EVO. That’s a whole can of worms I didn’t expect to be cracked back open so soon, yet here it is and it’s even running this year somehow.

Favorite piece(s) on the site this week and why?

A deserved shout out to Morgan’s 2021 indie games list. I hope the work they’re doing to spotlight indies pays off for everyone involved.

Any games you’re playing over the weekend that you’re excited about?

I dunno! I just realized I haven’t installed Final Fantasy XIV on this thing yet, so that’s gonna happen.

Any TV, movies, music, or anime that you’re enjoying that you’d recommend?

I watched Zach Snyder’s Justice League this week. So, no not really. Oh! I’ve been reading On the Way to a Smile, the Final Fantasy VII: Advent Children prequel novel. It’s surprisingly interesting and may shed new light on that ridiculous movie by the time I’m done… maybe.

Bonus question, if you could develop your own game, what sort of game would you make?

Hm, probably something reminiscient of EarthBound and/or Mother 3, but more reflective of how I’ve perceived the whole existing in America thing over the past 20+ years.

What do you think of the new PlayStation VR controllers?

I like them a lot. It sounds like they are adding a lot of the Dualsense functionality to them. The PlayStation Move controllers are rough and desperately needed an overhaul.

Are you excited for Life Is Strange: True Colors?

Yeah, I really enjoyed the first Life is Strange. I need to play 2 which I plan to get to before True Colors releases.

How about all of those Xbox Game Pass titles?! What’s one of your favorite “new additions” to Xbox Game Pass that’s been added recently?

I’m currently working my way through Dishonored again, especially after it got a 60 FPS enhancement.

Was there any news this week that you found surprising?

I did not expect to see “Project Athia” or rather Forspoken so soon. I really assumed we would either never hear about that again or it would resurface years later. It looks great and can’t wait to see more.

Favorite piece(s) on the site this week and why?

Lucas did a stellar interview with Capcom about Ghosts N’ Goblins. Morgan also has been killing it with out Fortnite guide coverage since the new season launched.

Any games you’re playing over the weekend that you’re excited about?

I’ve been on a huge Valorant grind with friends the past two weeks so I imagine that will eat up most of my gaming time this weekend.

Any TV, movies, music, or anime that you’re enjoying that you’d recommend?

Falcon and the Winter Soldier released its first episode today. i enjoyed it a ton.

Bonus question, if you could develop your own game, what sort of game would you make?

Hmm, I’ve never really thought about this, but based on how many Roguelikes I play it would probably be based around that idea.

What do you think of the new PlayStation VR controllers?

They look cool. I never got into VR as much as I probably should have, so I’m looking forward to trying them out with PS VR in the future.

Are you excited for Life Is Strange: True Colors?

Yes! I have loved each and every game in the Life is Strange series and True Colors looks wonderful from what’s been shown so far. I can’t wait to play it!

How about all of those Xbox Game Pass titles?! What’s one of your favorite “new additions” to Xbox Game Pass that’s been added recently?

I’m playing Prey again, one of my all-time favorite sci-fi games. It’s as amazing as it was the first time I played it, and I encourage anyone who loves sci-fi to give it a try if they have Game Pass.

Was there any news this week that you found surprising?

I’ll agree that Forsaken was a wonderful surprise. Adding that Octopath on Game Pass and Red Candle Games selling Devotion off their own e-shop were interesting things this week that I wasn’t expecting.

Favorite piece(s) on the site this week and why?

The Ghosts n’ Goblins interview that Lucas did was phenomenal! I also love Jesse’s ongoing coverage of Blaseball, they’re fun features to read.

Any games you’re playing over the weekend that you’re excited about?

I’m checking out a few indies this weekend, playing more of Prey on Game Pass, and digging deeper into Fortnite for guides next week. I’m excited about all of it, there’s some nice variety there.

Any TV, movies, music, or anime that you’re enjoying that you’d recommend?

I’m planning to rewatch some movies that people feel are not great but that I find nostalgic from my childhood. I might write a feature about them, but yeah I’m rewatching Repo: The Genetic Opera and Queen of the Damned and yeah… easy to tell I was a goth teenager in the early 2000s lol.

Bonus question, if you could develop your own game, what sort of game would you make?

It’s an interesting question to think about. I’d probably make something either for my son that he’d like and want to play, or I’d make a game based off one of the short horror stories I’ve written in the past. Horror games are a favorite of mine, it’d be fun to try and make one myself.
