Issue #1 of the Batman/Fortnite: Zero Point Comic Series Releases April 20

A six-part comic book series, Batman/Fortnite: Zero Point, will begin to roll out with the release of Issue #1 on April 20. By purchasing this comic book, and others in the series, you’ll be able to enjoy redeemable codes for digital items in Fortnite with the first code in Issue #1 being for a Rebirth Harley Quinn Outfit.

“Batman/Fortnite: Zero Point #1 arrives at your favorite comics shop or digitally to DC UNIVERSE INFINITE (US-only) on April 20, 2021. Issue #1 launches day-and-date in North America, Germany, Italy, Mexico, Brazil, Spain, and the Czech Republic; and there are plans to release the full series in Japan, Korea, and France later this fall.

Following Issue #1, the next installments will arrive twice monthly in May (May 4/May 18) and June (June 1/June 15). The six-part series concludes with a thrilling finale on July 6.

Each print issue of Batman/Fortnite: Zero Point will include a redeemable code for bonus DC-themed Fortnite digital items inspired by the events in the comic, starting with the new Rebirth Harley Quinn Outfit.

As an additional reward, any player who redeems all six codes from each of the six comic book issues will unlock the new Armored Batman Zero Outfit!”

The blog post from Epic Games also confirms that each issue of the series and codes for DC-themed Fortnite digital items will be provided to paid subscribers of DC UNIVERSE INFINITE.

If you already subscribe to DC UNIVERSE INFINITE you should be able to read through the Batman/Fortnite: Zero Point comic series and receive your free digital Fortnite codes without issue.

However, the codes will not be available to those using the free trial period for DC UNIVERSE INFINITE, so keep that in mind if you’re considering a free trial as a way to check out the series.

For those who are unable to acquire issues of the Batman/Fortnite: Zero Point comic series, Epic Games reassures Fortnite players that:

All items will also be available in the Item Shop day-and-date with each comic book’s release, with the exception of Issue #1’s Rebirth Harley Quinn Outfit. That Outfit will be available first exclusively as a part of the comic book but will release in the Item Shop later in June 2021.”

For a brief look at the timeline, here’s when each issue is scheduled to release along with a note about the release of the Rebirth Harley Quinn Outfit in Fortnite’s Item Shop.

  • Issue #1 – April 20

  • Issue #2 – May 4

  • Issue #3 – May 18

  • Issue #4 – June 1

  • Issue #5 – June 15

  • Rebirth Harley Quinn Outfit – Available in Item Shop beginning June 2021

  • Issue #6 – July 6

For comic book collectors, each of these issues of Batman/Fortnite: Zero Point will have a bold/dynamic main and variant covers, “From legendary artists, including Issue #3 variant cover featuring Batman vs. Snake-Eyes from DC Publisher and Chief Creative Officer, Jim Lee.”

The main covers will feature art from Mikel Janín, while other variant covers will be provided by artists including Arthur Adams and Sabine Rich, Dan Mora, and Amanda Conner. The blog posts states that collectors should be on the lookout for “limited-run premium variant covers” from Epic Games Chief Creative Officer, Donald Mustard.

And in regards to some frequently asked questions, the blog post explains that Batman/Fortnite: Zero Point comics will have print versions available (check with your local comic book shop) and will be available digitally to paid subscribers of DC UNIVERSE INFINITE (US-only).

Those using the service under a free trial will not be able to grab the digital Fortnite codes. If you download the comics digitally using a third party site like Comixology, you won’t be able to get the bonus Fortnite codes, those are only given out through DC UNIVERSE INFINITE and in print copies of the comics.

Codes do expire, but not for a while (May 1, 2025), so if you forget to download them right after you get the comic books no worries. Additionally, items included in the comic books will be available for purchase in Fortnite’s Item Shop, so if you aren’t interested in buying the comics you’ll still have the opportunity to get these items.

Keep in mind that the first digital item, the Rebirth Harley Quinn Outfit, won’t be available with the release of Issue #1 on April 20, and will instead be added to the Item Shop in June 2021.
