Behind the Scenes Look At Brutal New Tera Bathysmal Rise Event

Taking a known dungeon like Bathysmal Rise and making it even harder? Now that's a challenge!

Corsair and Greenlit Content are partnering up for a sick new giveaway for EU Tera fans looking for a challenge. There’s a full (and very sweet) setup on the line for playing through the nightmare dungeon with a much harder take on Bathysmal Rise. But how is it different and what should players know before going in?

For those that may be unaware, Bathysmal Rise is a level 65 dungeon that requires 5 skilled players in order to complete. Fans enjoyed this underwater-themed challenge when it released a few years ago, and though it definitely went through a few changes through the years one thing was always the same: It had awesome drops. Bathysmal Rise offered loot and lore both for hardcore fans in-game in addition to the possibility of the IRL haul, including a highly desired armor set and so much more.

Now those hardcore fans have even more to fight for because this nightmare dungeon event is going hard with a special version of the challenge meant to make Tera players work for it. Though the dungeon itself is set in the familiar location of Northern Arun, the bosses players will go up against have been ramped up exponentially for an optimized challenging experience.

A word of caution as well: Tanks were always critical for this particular dungeon, even from the first boss seen in Mephisis. Make sure your tank knows exactly what’s needed going in, including when to pull and when to retreat. That need for a balanced team is increased tenfold as players must strategize how they want to pull aggro, station heals, and pull off a comp that deals the most amount of damage to get to that finish line. I’d also personally recommend a Mystic as a healer because the buffs they provide will prove invaluable, especially when going up against Fulminar; the dungeon’s final boss.

Everything about Bathysmal Rise is made to be more difficult: the challenges, the beasts – everything. The entire underwater adventure is scaled up to offer the maximum amount of difficulty without being impossible, which makes it the perfect place for true Tera fans to show off what they’re made of.
