Time to go Perrserk.

Pokemon Scarlet and Violet introduced a new raid battle called Tera Raid Battles. Like Pokemon Sword and Shield’s Dynamax raids, Tera Raids pit four trainers against a powerful Pokemon they need to take down. Having a Pokemon built around these mechanics can really make you and your team’s time in the crystal caverns much easier. Here’s the best Perrserker Tera Raid battle build guide.

Best Perrserker Tera Raid Battle Build Guide

First off, if you want Perrserker in Pokemon Scarlet and Violet, you’ll need to complete the Langauge class at the academy. Once you complete the questline, your Language teacher, Mr. Salvatore, will give you a Galarian Meowth. You can then evolve this into Perrserker.

Now that you have Perrserker, let’s talk about what you’ll need to make the best Tera Raid battle-ready Pokemon.

Ability: Steely Spirit – Increase the damage of the user and ally’s Steel-type moves by 50%

Steely Spirit is Perrserker’s Hidden Ability, meaning you’ll need to use an ability patch on it in order to unlock it. It won’t be the base Pokemon’s ability. You can obtain Ability Patches from 6-Star Tera Raids.

Moveset: Iron Head, Screech, Taunt, Helping Hand

With Steely Spirit, having Iron Head is going to allow you to do massive Steel damage to the opposing Pokemon. When you Terastalize, you’ll get even more damage from Iron Head with a steel Tera Type. Using Taunt will prevent the Tera Raid Pokemon from using a status move for a few turns. So this is where Perrserker can really shine as a support. Couple that with Helping Hand and Screech, and you have a Pokemon that can debuff the enemy and power up its team’s attacker.

Give Perrserker a Metal Coat held item to increase its potential further to inflict Steel-type damage, and you’re good to go.

So here’s a recap of what you want your Perrserker to look like.

  • Hidden Ability: Steely Spirit
  • Moveset: Iron Head, Screech, Taunt, Helping Hand
  • Held Item: Metal Coat
  • Nature: Adamant
  • EV Train: Attack and HP
