Complete combat overhaul and even more in the update.

No Man’s Sky Sentinels Update Is Out Now & Has AI Controlled Mechs

The biggest part of this update comes from the upgrade to the enemy sentinel forces on some planets. Elite forces can now deploy the Hardframe Mech which comes equipped with a flamethrower, high-powered jetpack, and heavy armor.

You’re going to have to be extra careful when alerting sentinels in the game now if you want to survive. Outside of this addition, the team at Hello Games has also redone the visual effects on the multi-tool. The mining laser and scatter blaster have all new lighting, refraction, and impact effects.

A new cloaking device allows players to use active camouflage to evade some of the new enemies skulking around the planets you visit. This is an excellent tool for making a quick escape or simply stealthing your way around.

To further combat the new threat, you’ll be able to build your own Minotaur AI Pilot mech, which will allow your very own mech to follow you around on planets. It will follow your commands and be a huge boon in battle when the going gets tough.

The Exobiology Expedition will take players on an all-new journey to a desolate star system that will lead to all new discoveries and reward the player with jetpack trails, posters, and even a unique robot companion.

There are a ton of other small improvements being made to the game that are featured on the No Man’s Sky website. If you haven’t hopped back into the game, now seems like a great time.

No Man’s Sky is available on PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, PC, and launching this summer on the Nintendo Switch.
