A Bunch of New Indie Games Shadow Dropped at The Indie World Showcase

A lot of great new indies to play, today!

During the Nintendo Indie World Showcase this morning quite a few stellar indie games were surprise-released. Long-awaited games like Garden Story, Axiom Verge 2, and Boyfriend Dungeon are just a few of the wonderful titles that are all out now on the Nintendo Switch.

A Bunch of New Indie Games Shadow Dropped at The Indie World Showcase

Let’s run down all of the awesome indie games that were released today. 

Necrobarista: Final Pour

First up, the PC game Necrobarista is launching on the Nintendo Switch with an extended version called Necrobarista: Final Pour. Here’s some more information from a release given to the press.

“Necrobarista: Final Pour also includes the “Walking to the Sky” and “Devil’s Den” downloadable content updates previously released via Steam and Apple Arcade. The original soundtrack from composers Kevin Penkin (Florence, Made in Abyss, Tower of God) and Jeremy Lim has also been expanded with new tracks to enhance this colorful anime-inspired narrative adventure.”

Garden Story

Garden Story is an action RPG where you play as a grape named Concord. Sent on a mission to reconstruct their village, you’ll be met with a wonderful cast of characters and charming visuals. Garden Story launches on the Nintendo Switch today.

Boyfriend Dungeon 

Boyfriend Dungeon, a game all about dating the sleek and sexy weapons of the world is out on Nintendo Switch today. Date and fight alongside a myriad of different sexy weapons who transform into human form when outside of a dungeon. The game is also available on Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, and PC. It’s also on Xbox Game Pass.

Axiom Verge 2

Axiom Verge 2, the latest game from Tom Happ is a sequel to the original indie Metroidvania that swept many players off their feet. The game features a new character, setting, and secrets to explore in a dangerous world. Traverse both the Overworld and the Breach to make your way through this classic Metroid-inspired game. Axiom Verge 2 is out now on Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4 and PC. 

Islanders: Console Edition

Islanders Console Edition is a game all about building the island of your dreams. While the game has been out on PC for a while now, the Nintendo Switch version of the game launches today! HEre’s the Steam description of what you can expect from Islanders.

“ISLANDERS is a minimalist strategy game about building cities on colorful islands. Explore an infinite number of ever-changing new lands, expand your settlements from sprawling villages to vast cities and enjoy the relaxing atmosphere.”

Slime Rancher: Plortable Edition

The widely popular Slime Rancher game is coming to Nintendo Switch today. Slime Rancher: Plortable Edition features the original Slime Rancher game now for the Nintendo Switch. You can suck up those slimes, put them in their pens, and adventure around the island on the go. 

Curious Expedition 2

Curious Expedition 2 is a turn-based narrative roguelike out on the Nintendo Switch today. It launched earlier this year on Steam but now you’ll be able to play it on the go.
