Bethesda have announced that they’ll be releasing a patch for their post-apocalyptic RPG Fallout: New Vegas before they bring out the next add-on.
The update will bring optimizations and stability improvements to the PS3, PC and Xbox 360 editions, the game’s senior producer Jason Bergman reported on Bethesda’s official forum.
Bergman has been looking at various issues in conjunction with Sony and Microsoft “and we have fixed a great deal of the crashes and lockups that people were experiencing.” The patch also makes a few changes to the game’s balancing of its weapons.
The patch could well be out in as little as a couple of weeks from now. The next DLC pack, which has been highly rumored to be named Honest Hearts, is apparently “coming very soon”.
Bethesda are apparently “not done yet”, Bergman has announced, with another patch still to come: “There’s still more work to do, and we’ll be monitoring the forums very carefully following the release of this patch, looking for more issues.”
Speculation suggests that the new DLC will take place in New Canaan. All we’ve seen so far is a set of images capped from a trailer that disappeared abruptly following a leak. The video featured a man in underwear donning a spiked club, aiming to hit what looks like a lady. Though this information is quite sketchy.
There was also a leaked shot of a rocky landscape and the Honest Hearts title screen.
