It’s Friday, which means it’s End of the Week recap time here at Prima Games! If you’re new to Prima’s End of the Week recaps, they’re essentially a feature we post up every Friday as a way to help people catch up with the events of the week.
With our recaps, you can quickly scan over all of the news headlines, guides, features, and reviews that we’ve published during the week. We also have a Staff Chat section where you can get to know the Prima team a bit better as we run through a variety of topics.
And, if you use Twitch, we also do a livestream every Friday from 5:30 p.m. (ET) to 6:30 p.m. (ET) on twitch.tv/primagames. Now that we’ve covered the basics, let’s dig into all of the content posted to Prima Games during the week of May 10 through May 14!

Are you playing Resident Evil Village, and if yes, are you enjoying it so far?
I am not! Too much on my plate for now, but as a longtime fan of the series I will certainly get around to it… eventually.
What do you think of the two new PlayStation DualSense controller colors?
The black one looks weird for some reason, kind of ironically since black is generally the default. The red one looks rad, though! I have two launch ones already, so I doubt I’ll ever need more unless one stops working.
We’re getting closer and closer to some big June reveals, are there any games you’re hoping to see get new trailers and announcements next month?
As embarassing as it is to say this out loud, I literally had a dream of a new Sonic the Hedgehog game reveal. I don’t even want a new game that dramatically, it’s just so weird we haven’t seen it yet that Sonic appears to be living in my head.
Favorite piece(s) on the site this week, and why?
Any interview Morgan publishes is an easy win. The subjects are all stuff I would never think of, or sometimes heard of at all!
Playing any fun video games this weekend?
I beat Nocturne! So we’ll have a review for that next week. But it also means that’s off my plate. Now I have Mass Effect: Legendary Edition and something under embargo, so I’ve already made some progress in ME.
Do you have any TV, anime, movie, or music recommendations based on stuff you’ve been enjoying lately?
Without looking into it, y’all need to watch Super Eyepatch Wolf’s Space Jam 2 video. Go in blind; you won’t regret it.
Bonus question, what video game soundtrack reminds you of summertime?
Despite being an adult, I still associate summer with school being out. That’s just the default connection in my mind. So while it isn’t really set during summer, I’d say the Kunio-kun (River City Ransom) games kinda give off that vibe. I hear that main theme for the NES game and I’m ready to party.

Are you playing Resident Evil Village, and if yes, are you enjoying it so far?
I opted to not end up getting it. I watched a full-playthrough online to see the story bits and environments without the stress lol.
What do you think of the two new PlayStation DualSense controller colors?
That red controller is awesome. If I didn’t JUST buy a new Dualsense last week I totally would have gotten it.
We’re getting closer and closer to some big June reveals, are there any games you’re hoping to see get new trailers and announcements next month?
The best part of E3 and the month of June is oftentimes the best thing that is revealed is something no one knew about. So in a weird way, I’m excited to be surprised by something, big or small.
Favorite piece(s) on the site this week, and why?
Morgan’s interview with True Crime Games was fascinating.
Playing any fun video games this weekend?
MASS EFFECT BABY
Do you have any TV, anime, movie, or music recommendations based on stuff you’ve been enjoying lately?
I’m currently out of things to watch now that The Circle has wrapped up. Maybe this weekend I’ll start something brand-new.
Bonus question, what video game soundtrack reminds you of summertime?
Yoku’s Island Express has big summertime vibes.
Morgan
Are you playing Resident Evil Village, and if yes, are you enjoying it so far?
I am, it’s pretty solid. Definitely a beautiful looking game, and the story is intriguing.
What do you think of the two new PlayStation DualSense controller colors?
They’re gorgeous, especially Cosmic Red. I’m going to be buying one of those for sure.
We’re getting closer and closer to some big June reveals, are there any games you’re hoping to see get new trailers and announcements next month?
I really want to see some more Horizon Forbidden West.
Favorite piece(s) on the site this week, and why?
Loved the Call of Duty: Warzone loadout guide from Josh, and I’ll shout out my interview with True Crime Games as well.
Playing any fun video games this weekend?
More Resident Evil, not sure what else beyond that though.
Do you have any TV, anime, movie, or music recommendations based on stuff you’ve been enjoying lately?
Back with another kpop recommendation, there’s a new Itzy track and it’s been stuck in my head all week. Other than that I also rewatched Constantine with Keanu Reeves recently and enjoyed it a lot, I think it still holds up pretty well.
Bonus question, what video game soundtrack reminds you of summertime?
Either the soundtrack for Abzu, or the soundtrack for The Legend of Zelda: Wind Waker.
