F.E.A.R. 3 has been delayed to some point in 2011.

Publisher Warner Bros. confirmed the news to Joystiq.

We had a winter 2010 release date for the paranormal FPS sequel.

No explanation was provided.

The PC, PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 shooter was announced in April. Series creator Monolith Games is only collaborating on this project, with Day 1 Studios doing the bulk of the work.

The story follows spooky girl Alma’s two sons, Point Man and Paxton Fettel, who can be played co-operatively through the campaign. Point Man’s a super soldier whereas Fettel has telekinetic powers. Both have “distinctly different abilities”, apparently.
