With the arrival of Season 6 in Fortnite comes a flood of new locations to explore. The vast expanse of that sand you can surf beneath the Zero Point is gone. Replacing it are gorgeous autumn forests that spiral out from the new Spire at the center of the map.
You’ll find a number of Guardian Towers in these autumn areas along with new farmland where Colossal Coliseum once stood. Want a more detailed tour? Here’s a closer look at all of the new locations added to Fortnite Chapter 2 Season 6!
Fortnite Chapter 2 Season 6 | All New Locations
Above, you’ll find the new map for Fortnite Chapter 2 Season 6. In the center is The Spire which replaces the Zero Point area. To the right is Colossal Crops which replaces Colossal Coliseum, and to the left is Boney Burbs which replaces Salty Towers.
Guardian Towers extend out of the orange center with one found near Pleasant Park, Sweaty Sands, Steamy Stacks, Retail Row, and North of Misty Meadows (six Guardian Towers in total).
The other named locations have been brought over from Chapter 2 Season 5 including Slurpy Swamp, Steamy Stacks, Lazy Lake, and Coral Castle to name a few.
The biggest changes are found in the center area of the map, and below, we’ll walk you through them a bit more.
The Spire
The first new location is found smack dab in the center of the map for Fortnite Chapter 2 Season 5. Where the Zero Point once floated, you’ll now find a tall building called The Spire.
Extending out from it are ziplines that’ll let you escape The Spire quickly as needed.
Surrounding the base of The Spire are buildings that comprise a quaint little market town with market stalls and cozy indoor spots where you can find supplies including chests and ammo boxes.
In the image above, you can see what The Spire looks like as you drop down with the interconnected buildings circling the base of The Spire.
Boney Burbs
Replacing Salty Towers is Boney Burbs which features essentially the same structure of Salty Towers but more open and interconnected.
Trees spring up from the ground, offering some cover in certain situations.
In the image above, you can get a feel for the layout of Boney Burbs including the towers, buildings, and roads that stretch out to other Fortnite locations.
Colossal Crops
No more Colossal Coliseum, now we have Colossal Crops. While the Coliseum is gone, you can see remnants of it in a similar manner to how Boney Burbs mirrors Salty Towers.
The entrance areas of Colossal Crops look reminiscent of the old Coliseum, but inside you’ll find the area to be wide open with buildings scattered about and abundant farmland.
You’ll also find animals to hunt near Colossal Crops like boars which is great if you’re trying to collect Animal Bones and Meat.
In the above image, you can see the layout of Colossal Crops from the sky.
Guardian Towers
There are six Guardian Towers in Fortnite, each circled in the map image above. Each of the five Guardian Towers are defended by an NPC.
As a whole, they all pretty much look the same, but in the images below, we’ll give you a closer look at each individual one.
Guardian Tower Northeast of Colossal Crops
Guardian Tower East of Sweaty Sands
Guardian Tower North of Misty Meadows
Guardian Tower North of Retail Row
Guardian Tower in Weeping Woods
Guardian Tower North of Pleasant Park
Visuals | New Building and Bridge Designs
As a little bonus, we wanted to highlight the fact that some of the existing structures in Fortnite have undergone a few slight design changes.
You’ll see these changes on a number of bridges like the one shown above, with the buildings on these bridges offering a variety of weapons and supplies that can prove useful in a pinch.
In the image above, you can see the beautiful update made to the bridge on the outskirts of Weeping Woods. We really feel like Epic Games did a lovely job at incorporating the new theme of Chapter 2 Season 6 throughout Fortnite, even while bringing over many of the areas seen during Season 5.
