Dragon Age Gets Four New Short Stories Ahead of Game Awards Reveal

FINALLY.

Today is Dragon Age day, and the folks at Bioware have released four brand-new short stories that help shape the Dragon Age series’s future. They also feature four never before seen pieces of art.

The biggest news of this all is that there will be a Dragon Age reveal at The Game Awards on December 10. You can read all four of the short stories here.

It’s been quite some time since we’ve seen the release of a new Dragon Age game. Dragon Age Inquisition was the last game in the franchise six years ago. Since then, Bioware has worked on Mass Effect: Andromeda, Anthem, and the recently announced Mass effect Legendary Edition.

If you want to play through the Dragon Age series in time for Dragon Age four (whenever that is), luckily, they are all on Xbox Gamepass as well as EA Play. We got a very brief glimpse at Dragon Age at The Game Awards two years ago and an even smaller glimpse at EA’s E3 press conference this year.

Hopefully, The Game Awards announcement has something much more substantial for Dragon Age fans because it’s been so damn long, please throw them a bone, they need it. However, just yesterday, Bioware announced the departure of both GM Casey Hudson and Executive Producer of Dragon Age Mark Darrah.

While Bioware states this won’t impact any of the projects they are currently working on, it’s hard to believe. We hope nothing but the best for them, but their departure of the studio has us asking a lot of questions of the future of these projects and the studio as a whole.

Anyway, happy Dragon Age day and we hope you enjoy the short stories and artwork as much as we did. As always, let us know what you think on the official Prima Twitter and Facebook pages.
