It’s been revealed by Bethesda Softworks this week that a new Fallout title will begin development, this time by Obsidian.
The title has the name Fallout: New Vegas and will be coming to the PC, PS3 and Xbox 360. The game won’t be a Fallout 3 sequel, though is set in that much-loved Fallout universe.
We’ll apparently see the first glimpses at some point later on in the year, with a release planned for 2010.
“It’s not a sequel to Fallout 3, it’s just another game in the universe, and it has no impact whatsoever on whatever Todd Howard and his team are working on,” said Pete Hines.
“We approached Obsidian and they were, like, yeah. That was a pretty easy conversation. It’s not Fallout Tactics, it’s not Brotherhood of Steel; it’s another RPG.”
Expect more news as we get it.
