Fans of shonen classic Black Clover and its outrageous magical shenanigans will be pleased to know that anime fans on this side of the globe are no longer going to be hard done by. While Japanese connoisseurs of the series got to access this particular treat over a year ago, Bandai Namco recently announced that the Black Clover Phantom Knights mobile game is now available in the West.
Black Clover Phantom Knights Mobile Game Now Available in the West
For the uninitiated, Black Clover follows the adventures of Asta and Yuno – two orphans who have diametrical relationships with magic in a world where using it is essentially as natural to many as breathing. Asta was born without the power to use Mana, while Yuno was in fact gifted with a multitude of arcane abilities at birth. The anime follows the two on their journey to join brigades called Magic Knight squads and to make much more of their lives, especially considering that they’re aspiring to become the next Wizard King.
Black Clover has been running since 2015, which means that this year marks the fifth year that it’s been trucking along. So far there are 117 episodes of the anime that are out, and the trailer above shows off the funky style and character aesthetic that fans have come to know and love. Black Clover Phantom Knights is a defense RPG, which will let you lead your own Magic Knights squad and to recruit characters that you love from the series. Phantom Knights focuses on an original story but keeps the focus on faces that we’re already familiar with, and we’re excited to try it out. However, it’s only currently available for Android, so iPhone users are going to have to sit this one out.
Now that you know the Black Clover Phantom Knights mobile game is now available in the West, are you going to give it a go? We’re not sure how much those who aren’t existing fans will get out of it, but a few hours of trying out a kingdom defense game seem pretty harmless.
