Warframe Nightmare Missions Guide and Challenges

Once you unlock all the nodes on a planet when it comes to missions, you’ll be able to access Nightmare Mode for that planet. What this means is that one mission hotspot will be assigned by the game to be a Nightmare Mode mission, and it will stay that way for 8 hours before rotating. Nightmare Mode makes missions a lot harder, but they will give you the highly sought-after Nightmare Mods which are going to help you soup up your weapons, Warframe, or Companion.

Nightmare Missions are defined by the Challenges that will be applied to them, and a maximum of two can be chucked on to each mission. We’ve listed the Challenge modifiers below, and what their effect will be in Nightmare mode:

  • Death Detonation – enemies who die will explode and cause damage
  • Energy Drain – you will lose energy every second
  • Health Vampire – you will lose health every second, but killing enemies will gain that back
  • Low Gravity – gravity is reduced
  • No Shields – players and companions don’t have shields
  • Timer – you have 5 minutes to finish the mission or fail it, and killing enemies will buy you more time

On top of those Challenges, enemies will have higher levels, more damage, and also spawn more aggressively compared to missions that are not being carried out on Nightmare mode, so you’re going to want to make sure that you’re ready for that when you’re loading in. Now that you’ve got our Warframe Nightmare Missions Guide to give you a hand with the basics, why not try your hand at some of the content?
