If you’ve been relying on having multiple streaming subscriptions active to watch anime, you might be happy to learn that consolidating them into one might be possible soon. The Crunchyroll and Viz Media collab that was announced earlier in the year is finally going to be kicking in today, just in time for Christmas, with some stellar titles being pushed across platforms.

Crunchyroll and Viz Media Collab in North America Includes Death Note and More

For those who aren’t quite in the know, Crunchyroll and Viz Media are entering into a partnership in North America which will introduce titles from the latter that weren’t previously available for streaming on the former into its ecosystem. With Viz Media holding distribution rights to a whole lot of classic anime titles, we’re really pleased to see that Crunchyroll is going to get their paws on them, with some Crunchyroll titles also making their way to Viz Media to ensure that the relationship is a symbiotic one for users of either platform.

In terms of the titles that are going to be now available from the Viz Media back catalogue and shunted onto Crunchyroll, we can expect to see the following being rolled out between today and December 19:

Inuyasha and all the Naruto Shippuden movies are a real taste of childhood for us here at Prima, so we’re going to be excited to be cracking into them on Crunchyroll soon enough. Don’t worry; the anime will have subbed and dubbed versions unless otherwise indicated in our list above, so you can experience some true greats no matter your viewing preference. This Crunchyroll and Viz Media collab on distribution was really just a matter of time once the former acquired shares in the latter, and we’re looking forward to seeing what else besides Death Note makes its way over to the new catalogue.
