Star Wars Jedi Fallen Order Difficulty Levels

If you’re wondering about the difficulty levels and how they work in the game, well, Fallen Order has a unique set up. Essentially, tweaking the difficulty in Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order only affects the difficulty of the combat; each different level changes the following things about fighting:

  • Parry Timing window
  • Incoming Damage
  • Enemy Aggression

The four Star Wars Jedi Fallen Order difficulty levels that are available are:

  1. Story Mode
  2. Jedi Knight
  3. Jedi Master
  4. Jedi Grandmaster

The difference between the levels is, as we mentioned, entirely to do with the way that enemies react to you and your windows of opportunity in combat. Enemies will do more damage, be more aggressive, and your chances to parry will be more limited at higher difficulties. It scales upwards from Story Mode (which is a relatively safe romp that has almost infinitely forgiving parry timings, little incoming damage, and low enemy aggression) to Jedi Grandmaster where enemies will want to stomp your head in and your chances to parry them are few and far between.

Story Mode might be a bit too easy for those who reckon that they’re relatively experienced with action-RPG games, so if you’re someone that’s plowed through Sekiro then we would definitely recommend starting somewhere at Jedi Master and above to get a nice mix of challenge and mechanical fluidity – that’s where the game really shines. Now that you’ve got our Star Wars Jedi Fallen Order difficulty levels guide in hand, can we interest you in anything else? Check out the following tips and tricks that we’ve provided:
