Modern Warfare Maps and Modes – Ground War Maps

Those checking out the new Ground War mode note that it’s essentially a gigantic death scramble. It throws 64 players down into two teams of 32 apiece, and as such, the maps that are playable in Ground War are much larger than the other game modes. You’re going to be driving around, running and gunning, and holding down capture points so that your teammates can advance across the field of war.

Ground War has been up for trial for a while now, and it’ll allow you to use the following maps:

  • Aniyah Palace
  • Karst River Quarry
  • Tavorsk District

Modern Warfare Maps and Modes – Gunfight Maps

Those who want a more intimate approach to slaughter will probably prefer Gunfight to Ground War. Gunfight is a 2v2 map which pits you against, well, two people that aren’t you and your partner. You don’t have to kill everyone to do well here: the real name of the game is to survive. You’re also given a random loadout, so it’s more of a desperate bid to survive than a calculated takedown.

You’ll be able to get a kick out of Gunfight in the following maps:

  • Docks
  • Gulag Showers
  • Hill
  • King
  • Pine
  • Speedball
  • Stack

Modern Warfare Maps and Modes – Standard Maps

Of course, fans of the series are already going to be used to the classic modes of Cyber Attack, Domination, Free-for-all, Headquarters, Ground War, Realism, Search and Destroy, Team Deathmatch.

The maps available for rotation in the standard modes are:

  • Azhir Cave
  • Azhir Cave (Night)
  • Akrlov Peak
  • Euphrates Bridge
  • Grazna Raid
  • Gun Runner
  • Gun Runner (Night)
  • Hackney Yard
  • Hackney Yard (Night)
  • Piccadilly
  • Rammaza
  • Rammaza (Night)
  • St Petrograd

Now that you’ve got our list of the Modern Warfare maps and the various modes that they’re a part of, you know what to look forward to when you’re spinning the roulette wheel on the selection available between rotations.
