The Quantic Dream studio is known for their incredible take on storytelling, pushing away from the usual formula of game narration or leaning more into an interactive experience filled with gut-wrenching existentialism and extreme philosophy. Now that the studio is officially all-in on being cross-platform, previously PlayStation 4 exclusive titles are now making their way over to PC by way of the Epic Games Store with the latest being that of Beyond: Two Souls.
“Beyond: Two Souls is a very personal story to me. I wanted to create a journey into the life of a character, discovering Jodie Holmes from when she was a kid up to when she is an adult. Through the different strong moments of her life, I wanted to show how what we experience makes us who we are. It is a story about accepting oneself, about identity, about death and what’s on the other side.” said Writer and Director David Cage. “Ellen Page and Willem Dafoe delivered incredibly intense and moving acting performances, making the journey of Jodie Holmes an experience that may well haunt you for a long time.”
“After the successful launch of Heavy Rain’s PC version through the Epic Games Store last month, we are thrilled to be releasing Beyond: Two Souls fully optimised for PC today,” said Guillaume de Fondaumière, co-CEO of Quantic Dream.
If you haven’t checked out this incredible psychological action thriller, you definitely should. It has a star-studded cast, including both Ellen Page and Willem Dafou, and takes players on a journey of transcendental exploration and magical powers.
The latest Quantic Dream title to make the PC push is now available on the Epic Games store. Enjoy!
