If you hit the minus button when you need help, Luigi’s building tools are there to help.
If you can’t stand having it there though, you can get rid of them by simply completing the job again without Luigi’s assistance. That means making sure you go through it without any help, which should make you better at the game as a result. Nintendo games are all about incremental progress until you’ve mastered the systems, and this is no different. It’s all a part of the learning experience.
