Well, this week is the Adventure Week, and it brings with a great chance to catch some strong Pokémon with a hiking theme, so mostly rock types and fossil monsters. The Field Research tasks can be acquired by visiting and spinning Poké Stops throughout the world and always offer a different challenge. Once you’ve finished one off, all you need to do is claim your reward through the menu and your prize will await you. Better yet, if you’ve finished seven across seven different days, you’ll get a chance to catch an amazing Pokémon at the end of it all. So, these are well worth doing. 

• Catch 5 Aron – A Metal Coat, which can be used to evolve Onix and Scyther
• Catch 5 Omanyte or Kabuto – An Aerodactyl encounter
• Earn 3 Candies walking with your buddy – An Anorith encounter
• Evolve a Lileep or Anorith – An Onix encounter
• Hatch 2 Eggs –  A Lileep encounter and a Rare Candy
• Spin 2 PokéStops you haven’t visited before – A Shieldon encounter
• Spin 25 PokéStops – A Cranidos encounter
