Death Stranding is one of those Hideo Kojima projects where the more details that are revealed, the less we actually know. It’s no secret that the Kojima Productions debut title is just that … a secret and Kojima-san’s process regarding trickling information has been intriguing, if not a little disheartening. Still, with the few that have seen the game in action in private raving about it being “revolutionary” for video games, it’s hard not to get swept away in the excitement. Now it looks like he’s ready to make good on his earlier promise of a new trailer, at least according to a recent Twitter post:

Sure, it may look innocent – but Kojima-san has teased similar images before previous trailers were revealed. Though we probably won’t get anything for E3 with Sony’s absence, that doesn’t mean the creator is giving up on a chance to give fans yet another glimpse into this mystery.
As of right now, Death Stranding is slated for a PlayStation 4 release with murmurs of PlayStation 5 support as well, though we unfortunately still don’t have a release date. As previously mentioned, Death Stranding is a total mystery. Though we’ve had plenty of trailers and character introductions, still – none of us have any idea what the hell is actually going on. Kojima-san is known for his exuberant creative energy and for those that have been involved with the project – or have seen a glimpse themselves – the overall reaction has been one of stunned respect.
With every trailer, every image providing a new look at this master puzzle, it’s hard not to respect Kojima-san’s creative process. He definitely knows how to lead a solid tease and his vision has always been one that seemed to hit the nail on the head. With so many A-list actors on-board and a full commitment from the production team, the upcoming game has some serious potential to set the bar for gaming.
