Collecting and Selling Trinkets

Along with useful gear, you’ll also find all kinds of junk while exploring in The Division 2, most of which come under the Trinkets header. You won’t be able to use things like cell phones and toys, buy they can be sold to a vendor for a nice boost in e-credits. While you’re at a vendor, all you need to do is press the button marked at the bottom of the screen to sell your Trinkets (or the X key on PC).

Selling Unwanted items

This might seem like an obvious point, but it’s easy to forget to rid yourself of all the unwanted gear you’ve been accumulating. Vendors are handy for buying things, sure, but you’ll likely find your main reason for using them is to sell off your hauls from missions. You won’t earn loads from each item, but you’re going to be bringing in hundreds of unwanted bits and bobs as you play, meaning the e-credits quickly start piling up. To make selling easier, mark any items you want to get rid of as junk so that you can sell them all with a single press of a button. Just remember to break down items for crafting parts if you need them first.

You won’t often need to buy weapons in The Division 2, but storing up money will help pay for things like changing your appearance. Now that you know how to earn e-credits fast, you might want to head into the Dark Zone to start securing gear. Here’s our guide on how to unlock and enter it.
