14 Days of Fortnite is Back for a Limited Time

Now is the time to finish up those challenges you missed over the holidays.

The 14 Days of Fortnite event is back for a limited time in Fortnite, due to a mishap from Epic Games. According to an announcement from Epic, the holiday event concluded prematurely after the developers “communicated an incorrect end date for the 14 Days of Fortnite event.” The team had compensated players with an Equalizer Glider, but ultimately did not feel that it was adequate compensation for those who didn’t get to finish the event challenges.

To make up for the event ending too early, Epic has decided to reinstate the 14 Days of Fortnite event in-game for those who missed out on some of the challenges during the holiday break. The event is live now and will conclude on January 15 at 3 am ET / 12 am PT.

All of the previous 14 Days of Fortnite challenges will be available to complete during this time, allowing players to earn challenge rewards they may have missed. However, the progress for each challenge has been reset, so any partially finished challenges will have to be redone entirely.

14 Days of Fortnite Challenges Update

The 14 Days of Fortnite event initially began in December and ran for two weeks, as the name suggests. However, there was some confusion about the exact end time of the event due to a miscommunication from Epic, thus causing the event to seem to end prematurely. Having an extra week to complete the event challenges should more than make up for Epic’s minor flub.
