Epic Games Announces Fortnite Creative Mode

Access to Fortnite Creative starts tomorrow for Battle Pass owners.

Fortnite is getting a new Creative mode, according to an announcement today from Epic Games. If you’re a fan of the Playground LTM, then Fortnite Creative will be right up your alley. Creative takes the freedom of Playground and kicks it up a notch, allowing players to build on their own private island and design customized games with friends.

In Fortnite Creative, players can “design games, race around the island, battle your friends in new ways and build your dream Fortnite,” according to Epic’s blog announcement. The developers anticipate some hiccups along the way, but they have ensured the community that they are “committed to making this bigger and better over time.”

Fortnite Season 7 starts tomorrow, December 6, which is when the early access phase begins for Fortnite Creative. Players who purchase the Battle Pass will be granted one week of early access to try out Fortnite Creative on their own private islands before the mode opens up to all players on December 13.

While Fortnite will appeal to those who are already great at building, it also offers a low-stress environment for players who want to hone their building skills or just create something fun with friends without having to worry about the game’s competitive aspect.

Fortnite Season 7 kicks off on Thursday, December 6. Make sure to have auto-updates enabled so that the update will download as soon as its available at 4 a.m. ET. Be sure to check back here for more news and updates on Fortnite Creative and Season 7!
