HoYoverse is venturing into the cozy life simulation genre with Petit Planet, and players will not have to wait much longer to see what the developer has in store. The announcement also comes with confirmation of seamless cross-platform support, allowing players to continue their cozy adventures across supported devices. Pre-registration is now open on all platforms ahead of the game’s eventual release.

The latest trailer offers a closer look at what life will be like among the stars. Rather than focusing on massive battles or high-stakes adventures, Petit Planet appears to be all about slowing down and enjoying the small things. Players can be seen fishing under the sunlight, tending to crops as the seasons change, and looking out across the seemingly endless Starsea.

For those who want to venture beyond their home, the game will also offer plenty of opportunities for exploration. Players can set sail across the Starsea and discover various Islets, each featuring different landscapes, ecosystems, resources, and encounters. There will seemingly be plenty to discover for players willing to venture beyond the comfort of their own planet.

At the center of Petit Planet is the player’s role as a Planet Tender. Each player will have their own planet to look after, gathering resources, crafting furniture, and gradually transforming the land into a personalized home. HoYoverse is putting plenty of emphasis on customization, allowing players to shape their surroundings piece by piece.

Of course, no cozy life sim would be complete without a cast of friendly characters, and Petit Planet is no exception. Players will meet fuzzy Neighbors who can gradually become a part of their everyday lives. From picking fruit and building homes to heading out on adventures together, these characters are designed to make the player’s planet feel more like a living community.

When players want to take a break from their daily routines, they can also head to the Galactic Bazaar. This bustling social hub brings players from around the world together, offering various activities and opportunities to make new connections.

While HoYoverse is best known for games such as Genshin Impact, Honkai: Star Rail, and Zenless Zone Zero, Petit Planet represents a significant departure from the studio’s usual formula. Instead of action-heavy combat and expansive RPG systems, the developer is leaning into a more relaxed experience centered around exploration, customization, friendship, and everyday life.

There is still plenty we do not know about Petit Planet ahead of its Winter 2026 launch, but we did try their closed beta and did a preview of it here.

Petit Planet is scheduled to launch globally in Winter 2026 on PC, iOS, and Android.
