Subnautica 2’s New Update Secretly Had New Audio Clips, Which Might Lead to Four New Biomes Incoming
Please come before GTA VI.
Subnautica 2’s small update had new game files, some of which feature new audio tracks for future updates. As a lot of players have probably finished the current content for Subnautica 2 already, everyone’s anticipating the next update.
Players already know the extent of some biomes; if you have played the game, you know that there are other areas you can actually push through, but get a warning that the content isn’t ready yet, and you’ll get a big surprise if you venture further.
The audio was found by a YouTuber, ElectricSkull, with the help of CobraTEM, finding several new audio clips. With the new audio game files, we can guess at the theme surrounding the next few biomes. Here’s a video of the audio tracks below:
The next biomes are called Lava Zone, North Coral Zone, Deep Trenches Zone, and Tufa Zone. It is interesting to see a potential Lava biome, knowing that most players already felt the struggle exploring the Tadpole Pens with extensive heat, especially since everyone goes through the area going from their first base to the alien base as well.
The other zone, called “Deep Trenches,” already feels like a nightmare that could hold a lot of jump scares and scary new creatures.
Subnautica 2’s early access content already holds 20-30 hours of gameplay, but you can tell there are a lot of things missing. Just by looking at the unlockable genetic Adaptations alone, you can see that the current content available has barely scratched the surface.
There’s a lot more to come, and these added audio files could mean something is imminent. It isn’t known if all of these biomes would release at the same time, or even if it is confirmed to be in the game, but there’s no doubting that these files are there for a reason. They even added a new death sound named “Player Death_from_old_subs.”
