More 007? Sign me up.
007 First Light is one of the best releases of the year, and like Hitman, IO Interactive hasn’t stopped supporting it since launch. After releasing several hotfixes to improve the experience, the studio has now rolled out its first major patch, adding new TacSim content while also providing an update on the game’s future.
More 007 First Light Content Is Already in Development
Today’s 1.1.0 update for 007 First Light includes over 200 bug fixes, two new three-tier TacSim Escalations, The Workshop and Extraction Avenues, and several new unlockables. You can earn three new TacSim weapons, including the Stormberg .50 Cal, DRX-2 Machine Pistol, and DRS-7 Silenced SMG, alongside the new Diamond in the Rough outfit.
As with previous unlocks, all of these rewards can be purchased with Intel after reaching the required Clearance Level, giving players more reasons to revisit TacSim. While the patch notes are packed with improvements, it’s easy to miss a brief announcement at the very end. IO Interactive confirmed that more content updates are already in development for 007 First Light, adding that it will share more details in the future.
Our work does not stop here. More improvements and content updates are already in development. Stay tuned for what lies ahead.
The studio didn’t specify what this upcoming content will include. It could just mean additional TacSim missions and unlockables, but I’m choosing to believe it hints at future story content out of pure desperation to find out what happens after the ending. Maybe it’s the “Bawma Will Return” mission teased in the roadmap. We’ll have to wait and see.

If you’ve been waiting for the Path Tracing update, I’m afraid there’s no mention of it in these patch notes. Personally, I think the game already looks fantastic, and with today’s bug fixes, this is probably the best time to jump in. However, if you’re holding out for the best possible visuals, at least on PC, it might be worth waiting a little longer. Path Tracing is still part of the game’s Year One roadmap, so I’d expect it to arrive later this year or in early 2027.
