REPLACED Out Now on PC and Xbox
It's finally here!
REPLACED blew everyone away with its reveal trailer back in 2021, showcasing some of the best pixel art I’ve seen in a modern 2D title. After several delays, it’s finally out now on PC and Xbox consoles, and here is everything you need to know about its launch.
REPLACED Launch Trailer
Sad Cat Studios shared a fantastic launch trailer to celebrate the release, and you can check it out below:
REPLACED is a cyberpunk crime thriller set in an alternate 1980s America following the events of a nuclear catastrophe.
REPLACED Platforms
REPLACED is currently available on PC via Steam, GOG, and Microsoft Store, and Xbox Series S|X. It’s also verified for the Steam Deck and is a perfect experience for handheld devices.
It also supports Xbox Play Anywhere, meaning if you buy the title through Microsoft or the Xbox Store, you will be able to play it on both PC and console with a single purchase. Microsoft is heavily involved in its marketing and likely has an exclusive deal for the title. It will probably make its way to other consoles eventually, including the PS5 and Nintendo Switch 2.
Officially, the developers have stated that their current plan is to support the PC and Xbox release, and they will share more information about other potential platforms when they have updates.

Is REPLACED on Xbox Game Pass?
Yes, the standard edition REPLACED is part of the Xbox Game Pass subscription service if you’re subscribed to the Ultimate tier.
REPLACED Pricing
The standard edition for REPLACED is available on PC and Xbox platforms for $19.99 / €19.99 / £16.99. Additionally, there is also a Supporter Edition that includes the digital soundtrack, and it’s available for $24.99 / €24.99 / £21.99. You can purchase the soundtrack separately as well.
On Steam, REPLACED also has regional pricing, which could potentially bring down the $20 price tag depending on your region. There isn’t a launch discount for the release, but it’s already fairly priced and is available on Game Pass. However, on Steam, it’s bundled with some titles, including Planet of Lana II, System Shock 2 Remaster, and you can get a 10% discount that way.
With some stellar reviews and positive reactions from the Steam demo, it’s clear that Sad Cat Studios has poured their hearts into the studio, especially given the circumstances of their development during an active regional war.
