Like the first PUBG Savage map test phase, the second round of beta testing will take place exclusively on the PUBG Closed Experimental Server over the next 48 hours. The second Savage map test begins tonight at 6:00 pm PDT / 9:00 pm EDT and ends on Wednesday, April 18 at 6:00 pm PDT / 9:00 pm EDT.

There is still time to sign up for the second Savage map experimental test in PUBG. Although the test starts today, the signup window doesn’t close until April 17 at 5:00 am PDT / 8:00 am EDT or until all beta keys have been distributed.

If you own a copy of PUBG on Steam and are interested in joining round two of beta testing, head over to the 4×4 Savage Map Beta Key Redemption page to sign up and link your Steam account. If you already have a key for the PUBG Closed Experimental Server on Steam, then you don’t need to worry about signing up again. All you have to do is launch the server like you did last time.

PUBG Corp. has made some gameplay changes since the first round of testing for the 4×4 Savage map. Three new locations have been added to the Savage map, including Banyan Grove and the Abandoned Quarry in the middle of the island, as well as a Dock to the southeast. Other changes are as follows:

  • The redzone’s size and duration have been decreased.
  • The bluezone adjusts the waiting time based on the number of players alive.
  • Grenades spawn more often.
  • The 8x scope is now the strongest scope available in care packages.
  • Total number of boat spawns have been decreased.
  • Boats now have more predictable spawns near seaside towns.
  • Dynamic weather now changes in real time throughout the match.

But in the meantime, we’ll keep using these super short testing windows to drive development,” said PUBG Corp.

The upcoming 4×4 Savage map was first revealed as part of PUBG’s 2018 Roadmap, which details what’s in store for PUBG in the coming months.
