Where to Find the Matriarch in ARC Raiders
Maybe this is the real community event?
The North Line update brings a lot of exciting new content to ARC Raiders, and one massive addition is the Matriarch – literally.
The Matriarch is way bigger than the Queen, which makes it the biggest and strongest ARC enemy yet. Even with that size, why is it so hard to find the Matriarch in ARC Raiders? Here’s how to find it.
How to Find the ARC Matriarch in ARC Raiders

The ARC Matriarch will only show up when there’s a Matriarch event on a map. It is similar to how you would find the Queen through the “Harvester” event, as the Queen guards the Harvester in that specific map event.
For the Matriarch, the event says, “A Matriarch has been sighted nearby. Her children seem hell-bent on keeping her from harm.”
Queue into the event, which is also considered the “map condition” being referred to in the Matriarch’s description, and you’ll find the Matriarch. Open your map, and there’s an exclusive icon for the Matriarch.

If the Matriarch icon isn’t on the map, it is possible that you have to see it first before it shows up. On the bright side, the Matriarch spawns are fixed. In Dam Battleground, it spawns in The Breach. In Spaceport, it spawns near the Launch Towers.
It doesn’t look that imposing compared to the Queen, but it does have some dangerous attacks and also requires the same preparation needed to beat the Queen.
What’s unique about the Matriarch is that it summons other ARCs such as Fireballs, Wasps, Leapers, Bastions, Bombardiers, and Rocketeers. That’s absolutely chaotic and terrifying. Hullcrackers are a must, so be prepared if you really want those juicy Matriarch Reactors.
Before the North Line patch, I had also noticed a massive ARC enemy bigger than the Queen along the mountainside in Blue Gate. I suspected it was the Matriarch even before the patch, and it was literally outside the Blue Gate map, so it only acted as a background. There’s a chance this could be something totally different after seeing the Matriarch now.
