How to Complete All Prepare to Fight Quests in Fortnite Chapter 6, Season 4

The end is drawing near.

Story quests are perhaps the most essential missions in Fortnite, as they progress the main storyline and help you make sense of the chaos unfolding around the island. The Prepare to Fight series is one of the final sets for Chapter Six, season four.

Like all story quest series, these come with some fairly tricky components to work through. Finishing all of them is crucial for racking up lots of XP and understanding what’s happening around the island, so here’s how to complete all Prepare to Fight quests in Fortnite.

There are six missions you need to tackle throughout the Prepare to Fight quest series:

  • Talk to Night Rose, Jade, and Daigo about the Splinter Blades.
  • Hire a Scout Specialist and a Heavy Specialist to support Hope’s attack plans.
  • Collect Epic or better items to prepare for battle.
  • Eliminate opponents with Swarmstrike or Leadspitter 3000.
  • Weaken the swarm’s access point to the island.
  • Tell Hope that everything is ready for the attack.

Talk to Night Rose, Jade, and Daigo About the Splinter Blades in Fortnite

Your first mission is to talk with Night Rose, Jade, and Daigo about Splinter Blades. While most quests that involve chatting with characters only ask you to chat with one from a larger pool, this one requires you to meet up and talk with all three.

  • Night Rose can be found at the OXR Outpost slightly west of Supernova Academy.
  • Jade can be found wandering around the OXR outpost slightly south of Kappa Kappa Factory.
  • Daigo can be found at the same OXR Outpost as Night Rose, which is a bit west of the Supernova Academy POI.

Hire a Scout Specialist and a Heavy Specialist to Support Hope’s Attack Plans in Fortnite

Next, you need to hire a Scout Specialist and a Heavy Specialist. With tasks like this, you usually only need to select one of the two, but for the purposes of this story quest, you must hire each type of character once.

Unfortunately, there’s only one Scout Specialist and one Heavy Specialist around the island. It’s best to head straight to one of them from the battle bus to ensure other players don’t hire them before you, since you’ll have to wait until the next round to try again if they do.

  • Phantom Meowscles is a Heavy Specialist found near the east end of the road that runs across the dam at Gourdy Gate. They can be hired for 600 gold bars.
  • Bogstick is a Scout Specialist found by a campfire slightly east of Creepy Camps. It costs 600 gold bars to hire this NPC.

Collect Epic or Better Items to Prepare for Battle in Fortnite

Your third mission is to collect five Epic or better items to prepare for the battle ahead. This includes purple items, which are Epic, orange items, which are Legendary, gold items, which are Mythic, and light blue items, which are Exotic.

You can find Epic or better items just about anywhere on the island, but to increase your odds of finding some, it’s best to head to a main POI like Gourdy Gate or Pumpkin Pass. Named POIs have the most loot available for you to find, increasing the chances of you finding better gear. Visiting OXR Bunkers or OXR Armories is also a great way to get these items, as there are always plenty of Epic or better items you can grab from weapon cases at these spots.

Eliminate Opponents with Swarmstrike or Leadspitter 3000 in Fortnite

Next up, you need to eliminate five opponents with either the Swarmstrike or the Leadspitter 3000. The toughest part of this mission is finding one of the two weapons, as they’re generally quite rare.

Prioritize visiting OXR locations around the island, like OXR HQ, OXR Outposts, and OXR Armories. Around these spots, you’ll find OXR Chests, which have a very high likelihood of giving you a Swarmstrike or Leadspitter 3000. Once you have one of these weapons, look for enemies to fight and make sure you deal the killing blow with either one to make some progress in this task.

Weaken the Swarm’s Access Point to the Island in Fortnite

Your fifth mission is to weaken the swarm’s access point to the island. This can be done by visiting a cliff slightly east of Gourdy Gate. The spot you need to venture to is right by the broken-down train on the tracks in this area.

Once you find the right spot, approach the swirling red portal and interact with it. As soon as you do, this mission will be complete, and you have just one step left to go before you’re done with the full quest series.

Tell Hope that Everything is Ready for the Attack in Fortnite

The last task in this series is to tell Hope that everything is ready for the attack. You can find Hope at Supernova Academy, near the south end of the POI. She’s underground, standing close to Vegeance Jones and Dr. Theodore Flysesbee.

Chat with her to complete the full Prepare to Fight quest series, which also means you’re now ready to witness the end of the season when it arrives. There’s plenty to keep you busy while you wait, though, like defeating Ultima Carver, carving pumpkins, and calling players with Last Call.
