How to Carve Pumpkins in Fortnite Chapter 6, Season 4

Fortnitemares has overtaken the island, causing spooky chaos to unfold everywhere you venture. To accompany these map changes, there are waves of special missions to tackle in Fortnite, including the carve pumpkins quest.

If you complete most of the Fortnitemares quests, you can obtain some event prizes, including a free skin and several accessories to go with it. Many of these missions are decently tricky to work through, though, so if this one has you stumped, here’s how to carve pumpkins in Fortnite.

Where to Find Pumpkins to Carve for Fortnitemares

There are five key spots you need to visit around the island to complete the carve pumpkins quest. While you don’t usually need to visit all available spots to complete missions, you do need to venture to all five spots for this one. Here are all the locations you need to visit.

• Slightly south of Bugswatter Beach.
• Near the north end of Gourdy Gate.
• Northeast of Supernova Academy.
• Slightly south of the bridge at Pumpkin Pass.
• Near the west end of Freaky Fields.

To find the right spot to carve pumpkins at each location, land close to the specified spot and search for the white diamond icon. Once you’re in the right region, the pumpkins you need to carve will be marked with this symbol and some white sparkles to help you pinpoint where to go.

Carve Pumpkins in Fortnite

To complete the carve pumpkins quest, you need to visit all five pumpkin spots around the island and carve the pumpkins assembled at each one. You might be tempted to grab a weapon like a Chainsaw or use your Pickaxe to do the carving, but you don’t actually need anything to sculpt them. Instead, simply approach the pumpkins and select the button that appears next to the “Carve Pumpkins” text.

The button you need to press here varies by platform. Luckily, it’s always displayed by the pumpkin carving option once you’re close to them, making it much easier to get this quest done. Your progress in this mission tracks across rounds, so you can work on this one over time as you play, since most of the locations you need to visit are fairly spread out.

There’s plenty more to get done around the island after completing this quest. Next, you might work on visiting the mysterious location in the mountains or collecting weapons at OXR Bases and Bunkers.
