When do Crates Reset in PUBG

Crates can cost a pretty penny if you purchase a few of them in PUBG, and players who buy crates using the points they earn at the end of matches, will probably have noticed that they go up in cost exponentially each time you purchase another one. For many, the crates eventually start to cost too much, and they have to wait until the crate counter resets each week, allowing them to start purchasing crates at a lower price once more.

Now, as it currently stands, crates reset weekly, usually on Monday or Sunday, depending on your timezone, and when they do, they’ll return to their original cost of 700 points per crate. As stated above, this cost goes up with each subsequent purchase of a new crate, though, so players should expect to save up for new crates as time goes on. That being said, it’s always a good idea to save up and wait until you have enough money to purchase multiple level crates, as this will give you a better chance at receiving better gear.

Why Bother With Crates?

Not sure if you should bother with crates? After all, what’s the point of unlocking new customization items in a video game? Well, for many players, looking unique is a big deal, and if you’re one of those players, then purchasing crates is going to be your number one way to get new items like clothing and things. It also allows you a chance to pick up rarer items, which you can also sell on the Steam Marketplace to add funds to your Steam Wallet, which many people do.

The crate system in Player Unknown’s Battlegrounds is not a new type of system, and we’ve seen it in several multiplayer style games matching PUBG. It does give you some good ways to customize your character, as well as to stock up on additional funds for your Steam Wallet, though, which isn’t a bad thing in any way. If you enjoy playing PUBG, we’d suggest picking up some crates with the points you earn, and remember that each week the crates will reset, giving you the option to purchase them at lower levels once more.
