We don’t know what the stock situation will be like, but we do have some advice that will help you be one of the first to know when you can pre-order the SNES Classic. For those who aren’t aware, the SNES Classic is the Super Nintendo version of the NES Classic that Nintendo released last year. This mini console contains 21 classic Super Nintendo games and connects to modern TVs so you can get the highest quality of Super Nintendo gaming in the modern age. Below you’ll find details on how you can pre-order one and which games are included.

SNES Classic Pre-Orders

We don’t know the exact date of when pre-orders will go live, but we do know it’s sometime in August. We’ll update this article once Nintendo announces a more specific date. For now, let’s look at your best options to determine when certain stores will go live with SNES Classic pre-orders.

Amazon, Best Buy and Game Stop

As with almost any product at Amazon, you can sign-up for email alerts when any new information is available concerning a specific product. Here’s the SNES Classic Amazon page where you can activate product alerts once you’ve signed in to your Amazon account. Best Buy and Game Stop offer a very similar service which will alert you when the SNES Classic pre-orders are available. You can set the alert at the Best Buy SNES Classic product page once you’re signed into your free Best Buy account, or at the Game Stop SNES Classic product page with or without an account.

Twitter Follows

The stores listed above should be carrying the SNES Classic and generally post on Twitter when pre-orders go live. Follow each of these Twitter accounts and set notifications so that you get a text or an email when they tweet. It may be a little annoying at first, but the annoyance will be worth it when you’re one of the first to know when pre-orders go live at each of these retailers.
