First and foremost, Amazon Prime Day is exclusive to Amazon Prime members. The sales even starts on July 10, 2017 at 6pm PT and runs for 30 hours. Amazon Prime members will have access to a numbers of discounted items, including brand new stock of Nintendo Switch consoles. The sales run as frequently as every five minutes, so get ready for a sleepless night if you’re planning to pick up these sale items.

We’ve already discussed whether or not Amazon Prime Day is worth it, now let’s look at how you can take part. If you’re not already an Amazon Prime member, you can start your free 30-day trial or if you’re a student you can get in on the 6-month trial.

To get a head start on other shoppers and snag some of those limited stock items, download the Amazon App. This allows you to see the Prime Day deals 24 hours in advance of the sale. There’s even a chance you won’t see anything you want during those late night hours and can get some sleep before the morning deals start.

To go along with the normal deals all Amazon Prime members have access to, there are also special Prime Day deals exclusive to Alexa owners. If you don’t already own an Alexa-enabled device, you can pick up the Amazon Echo or Amazon Echo Dot to get in on these deals.
