You’re probably already familiar with the previous Eevee trick, and the new one for Gen 2 is very similar. In order to evolve Eevee into Umbreon, name your Eevee Tamao. If you wish to get Espeon, name your Eevee Sakura. You can only use this name trick one time so it’s very important to hold off on performing the trick until you have a good Eevee to evolve.

If you plan to use Umbreon or Espeon to do battle, you’re going to want to make sure they’re strong. If you just evolve the first Eevee you come across you may not be getting the most out of the evolution.
