Blue Prince is a breakout puzzle release of 2025 that took eight years to make. This stunning roguelike experience is a joy to play and offers tons of hours of mystery, puzzles, and beautiful art. It’s also very light on PC with no obvious technical issues.

It’s also playable on the Steam Deck with support for cloud saves. However, if you’re looking for your local progress on PC, here is the save file location of Blue Prince.

Blue Prince is only available on Steam, though I’d love to see a GOG release as well. If you want to back up your files for a future run or just want to delete your progress entirely, I recommend backing up the BLUE PRINCE folder inside the Dogubomb folder. This will ensure that your settings, log, and saves are secured for a future playthrough.

You can access the same location by entering the following address in Windows Run (Windows Key + R) or File Explorer.

%USERPROFILE%/AppData/LocalLow/Dogubomb/BLUE PRINCE/storage

Blue Prince Total Save Slots

If you want to start a different run or are gunning for the day-one achievement, then you’ll want to access a different save slot. Blue Prince offers four save slots that you can switch between in the main menu.

You can access these in the “Profiles” section of the main menu. You can also clear any save slot if you need more.

Blue Prince Steam Features

On Steam, Blue Prince has support for Steam Cloud, so if you’re playing on multiple devices, including the Steam Deck, your progress is seamlessly shared. The files are barely a few KBs, so I highly recommend keeping this feature enabled.

In addition to Steam Cloud, Blue Prince has support for the following on Steam:

  • Family Share: Members of your family can access the title in their library.
  • Achievements: There are 16 total achievements to unlock in Blue Prince.
  • Full support for Xbox and PlayStation controllers.
  • Steam Input

Overall, Blue Prince has all the features you’d expect from a roguelike, including multiple profiles, cloud saves, and plenty of Steam features.
