New Ninja Gaiden Project Coming

Ninja Gaiden composer, Keiji Yamagishi, is working on something new!

Koei Tecmo and Team Ninja have had their hands full since the release of Ninja Gaiden 3: Razor’s Edge several years ago. The developer has been working on projects for Nintendo, Square Enix and more, with their own Ninja Gaiden-like title, Nioh, also nearing a long-awaited release. Now it seems as though there’s a new Ninja Gaiden project of some sort coming in the future.

Ninja Gaiden composer, Keiji Yamagishi, posted on Twitter stating that he’ll be working on a new Ninja Gaiden project. Details are scarce, but the composer stated that he’ll be able to share more news on the new project in July.

At this point it seems unlikely the new project is a game, especially with no announcements coming from E3 and no major gaming events in July. Any new Ninja Gaiden title would likely be announced at E3 earlier this month, or at Gamescom next month in Germany. With that in mind, it could be a smaller announcement such as remastered versions of the previous games in the series, or even something that’s only related to music such as a new soundtrack release. Whatever the case may be, stay tuned to Prima Games for the latest on this developing story.
