It looks like 2016 could be the year of Crash Bandicoot.
Sure, he’s had his time already on the Sony PlayStation, but last night, during Sony’s pre-E3 press conference, he took the spotlight yet again, when the publisher confirmed that, in a partnership with Activision, his trio of original adventures – including Crash Bandicoot, Crash Bandicoot 2 and Crash Bandicoot 3: Warped, would be making a return on PlayStation 4 in remastered form.
The game doesn’t have a release date just yet, but don’t be surprised if it pops up later this year.
In addition, Crash will also be making his debut in the Skylanders series, as a playable character in the forthcoming Imaginators game. He looks like his traditional self, based on what he’s doing in the trailer below. That game will make its arrival this September for various platforms, though Crash appears to be an exclusive PS4 character at the moment.
It’s good to see good ol’ Crash back in action. Woobahgah!
