This feature will tell you how to get the Grappling Claw in Ubisoft’s Far Cry Primal.Use this item to climb up rock surfaces and other areas. Attach points communicate when you can use the Grappling Claw while exploring Oros. The longer you play the game, the easier it will be to spot compatible locations, which makes escaping the Udam and wild beasts much easier.
In order to obtain the claw, you’ll need to find Wogah, an NPC (non playable character) and bring him back to your village near Takkar’s Cave. You’ll have to finish a couple of quests to get there, including Trapped and Blood of Oros. You’ll be able to use the claw early on, but Wogah won’t join your group until Blood is completed.
You’ll have to take on a few quests before you get a chance to recruit Wogah. This comes after accepting Deep Wounds (assigned by Sayla), Tensay the Shaman and the Vision of Beasts. This will reward you with the White Wolf and Owl Companion in Far Cry Primal ability.
Building a Better Claw
You’ll see Wogah the Crafter appear on your map once the mission is ready to go. You can set a waypoint and then make your way over there. Once you reach him, you’re ready to take on the Trapped mission.
When you first get started in the pit where Wogah leaves you behind, go ahead and shoot a fiery arrow at the sticks on the ground. You’ll be able to spot these by turning on your Hunter Vision. Once that’s done, you’ll see a hole to drop down into, which will lead to the bottom of a nearby cave and some water.
Use your Hunter Vision to take down some beasts inside of the cave, then grab resources you may need. Kill these animals and look for a dead body to search. You’ll find the Grappling Claw and receive a new objective, Escape the Cave.
The instructions on how to use the claw are pretty simple, though you can pause if you need a refresher, going to the Help menu to get the full breakdown. Make sure to look up and use your Hunter Vision in order to find the attach point.
Once that’s done and you make your way out of the cave, go back to the waypoint where Wogah was before and you’ll be able to speak with him again. He’ll send you on the Blood of Oros mission, and once that’s finished, he’ll join your crew at the village, and the claw will be yours for permanent use. Get ready to reach new heights, ultimately leading to new discoveries and collectibles to further enhance your experience with the game.
