The latest chapter in the ongoing Assassin’s Creed saga is the most spectacular yet. Victorian London has been meticulously recreated, featuring wealthy boroughs with well-heeled folk parading around in their fancy clothes and top hats, yet travel a few streets and you’ll find grimy back streets and poverty stricken slums. The London of Assassin’s Creed Syndicate is a living, breathing place where, as twin assassin’s Jacob and Evie Frye, you can explore the capital’s various boroughs, taking in famous sights, taking rides in, or stealing, horse drawn carriages, riding on a fully working, timetabled railway network or leaping from boat to boat across a busy, working Thames river.
Needless to say, recreating the greatest capital city in the world on your desktop is not an easy task, so you’re going to need the right PC hardware to get the most from the experience.
Assassin’s Creed Syndicate system requirements call for a GeForce GTX 760 with 4GB of VRAM, which will enable you to run the game at around 30 frames per second at 1920×1080. But if you really want to get the most out of the game’s gloriously detailed visuals on PC—complete with stunning NVIDIA GameWorks effects like enhancing anti-aliasing, ambient occlusion and shadows—you’ll need a GeForce GTX 970 or above.
Should you want to play the game—and let’s face it, who doesn’t?—and you were thinking of upgrading your PC anyway, then you might be interested in a new bundle that can score you a copy of the game on PC for free.
For a limited time, NVIDIA is offering the GeForce GTX Bullets or Blades bundle. Purchase a new GeForce GTX 980 Ti, 980 or 970 GPU, or 970M or above notebook and you will get a free copy of either Assassin’s Creed: Syndicate or Tom Clancy’s Rainbow Six Siege.
