The 2015 Star Wars Celebration in Anaheim was the best in years, largely because of the new Star Wars Episode VII: The Force Awakens and Rogue One trailers, but we also went crazy over EA’s Star Wars™ Battlefront™ game, set to release on PS4, Xbox One and PC November 17th. Developed by Battlefield studio DICE, the game pits the Rebellion and Empire against each other in classic locations from the universe in frantic 40-player skirmishes featuring iconic characters like Darth Vader and Boba Fett.
While the new trailer does not feature actual gameplay, it gave us an idea of what to expect when the game releases this fall. This not only includes heroes and villains, but also vehicles. With this in mind, here is the complete list of every vehicle in EA’s Star Wars Battlefront so far.
Note: These are from the most recent trailer, and you may not be able to control the following vehicles in the game. More info coming soon!
The Empire
TIE Fighter
Naturally you can’t have a Star Wars game like Battlefront without the Galactic Empire’s most iconic vehicle. While mostly disposable, the TIE Fighter’s ability to hover and move sideways (if these abilities make it into the game) should make it a crowd favorite.
Speeder Bike
A handful of Star Wars games let us hop aboard the classic Speeder Bike, first seen in the Battle of Endor in Return of the Jedi, but Star Wars Battlefront should take things to a whole other level. We can’t wait to weave between some trees blasting Rebel scum.
AT-AT
You may not be able to commandeer an AT-AT in Star Wars Battlefront, but imagine the possibilities! While transporting fellow players to the next objective, you could blast aircraft from the sky and crush enemies on the ground. Just watch out for Snow Speeders wrapping cables around the AT-AT’s legs.
AT-ST
This heavily armored bi-pedal walker stomped its way through Endor in Return of the Jedi. Those pesky Ewoks managed to take them down with traps (two logs to the noggin), but well look forward to getting behind the controls and exacting revenge on those fur balls.
The Rebels
X-Wing
Similar to TIE Fighters, you can expect to pilot an X-Wing (see left) in Star Wars Battlefront. EA already released brief footage of this vehicle in action, and we’ll do our best Jek Porkins impression and going out in a fiery blaze of glory.
Y-Wing
The Star Wars Battlefront trailer shows a handful of Y-Wings dropping bombs to take down an AT-AT on Endor. Speed and maneuverability appear to be an issue, but when it comes to taking out targets on the ground, the Y-Wing should prove invaluable.
Snow Speeder
The Rebel Alliance used fast-moving Snow Speeders, also known as the T-47 airspeeders, to trip up AT-ATs during the Battle of Hoth in The Empire Strikes Back. They might serve a similar function in Battlefront, thanks to the reliable tow cable feature.
Millennium Falcon
Right before the Star Wars Battlefront trailer finished, we caught a glimpse of Han Solo’s signature ship. Since the game also features a first person perspective, it would be cool to man the guns while someone else steers the Falcon.
Now learn all the details about the new Star Wars™ Battlefront™ game.
