Spider-Man Homecoming has a free VR experience on Steam
Become Spidey for a while in this promotional tech demo experience.
With the new Spider-Man movie coming being the next big movie from the Marvel camp, they’ve released a promotional VR experience.
If you wanted to become Spider-Man for a short period, then check out the VR experience which puts you inside Spidey’s suit for short period. The emphasis is on the word “experience”, this is not a full game by any means, there’s a training section some web shooting and then a short scripted sequence where you have to save a crane. Just when you think it’s going to get good the demo ends.
This tech demo is quite neat and if it was expanded on perhaps it would make a decent VR game. We have no idea if it will become a game, but as a concept, it works quite well and swinging through the streets in VR could be quite an experience.
