Messi Official Cover Star for FIFA 15

International superstar set to appear on his fourth consecutive EA Sports FIFA cover.

Messi fell disappointingly short in Argentina’s 2014 World Cup final to Germany, but look on the bright side. He’ll appear on the FIFA 15 cover when the game hits shelves September 23rd. That’s a fine consolation prize, right?

Right?

After inking a deal that made him the official EA Sports Football Ambassador in 2011, this marks the fourth consecutive year that Messi is on the cover of a FIFA video game. Clearly, this trumps all of his career highlights. Six La Liga titles? Who needs them? 243 goals for FC Barcelona? Insignificant!

The cover looks similar across all platforms, so imagine your console logo of choice just above Messi’s head.

We’ll have a whole lot of FIFA 15 coverage before and after release. Looks excellent so far.
