World of Warcraft: The War Within has several gold-making strategies, but most of them involve professions. The Best Ways to Farm Gold in World of Warcraft The War Within

2×4 Farming Cloth

While farming cloth had a massive change in WoW: TWW, it is a positive change for players who want to take up Tailoring. The massive change is that cloth will only drop for players who have Tailoring as their profession. With this change, there is going to be a lot less cloth in the market, giving Tailoring a slight boost to its gold-making strategy. Now, 2×4 cloth farming is a legitimate farming strategy in the expansion.

To explain the 2×4 farming strategy briefly, because there will be other farming strategies that use this method, 2×4 means there are two groups of four players. The groups are set up this way to maximize killing monsters in the open world. If a party becomes full, they won’t be able to share the loot with other players outside the party. But, if they aren’t full, they can share the loot as long as they hit the target. The 2×4 group goes to certain parts of the map that spawn enemies quickly and drop useful items.

To use this farming strategy, go to the premade groups tab and search the term “2×4” or “cloth” on the search filter. Join a group and head to the location. Just follow the players and start pulling and killing hundreds of monsters. Loot them every three to four minutes and get all the cloth.

2×4 Farming Skinning

Using the same strategy above, just input “skin,” “skinning,” or “leather” to look for 2×4 skinning farms. With this method, you need to have skinning. In this strategy, you’ll kill enemies as fast as possible and skin them from time to time. Each monster has a separate “instance” or body, so each player in the 2×4 group can skin a single monster. In short, every monster you kill will be skinned by each player in the group.

Work Orders

In WoW: TWW, most crafting professions have a way to craft useful items for other players. You’ll have a concentration bar that fills up in time. You can use this concentration mechanic to craft high-quality products and sell them in the auction house.

However, some crafters don’t want to spend on getting the raw resources to craft these items. You can go to the work order station near the auction house in Dornogal and look for players wanting to craft a specific item. They’ll provide the materials for the craft, including a generous tip. They only need a crafter to make the item for them, which is where you come in. Craft these items for them for a safe and consistent form of income.

BoE Farming Raids

BoE farming has been the pinnacle of gold farming for several expansions already. It has been nerfed multiple times over the years, but it is still worth it in WoW: TWW. The goal of BoE farming is to eliminate enemies and hope to get an extremely rare BoE or “binds on equip” item with a high item level.

This isn’t possible in the open world, so these BoE farming groups are mainly in raids. Go to the premade groups page and go to raids. Look for “BoE farm” groups and try to join one. These groups will enter a raid and eliminate as many trash monsters in the raid as possible. Once the trash monsters are all eliminated, the group will reset the instance and start the farm again.

Players will farm random trash items from these monsters, but everyone is hoping for that <1% BoE drop that can sell for 200k gold or more. It is a jackpot gold farming strategy, but when you get a hit, you probably have enough gold for the rest of the expansion. Mythic-level rings can even sell for millions of gold if you are lucky enough to get one and the demand is there on your server. You’ll surely get your BoE item as long as you don’t give up.
