Sega has announced the return of the popular fighting tournament, which will once again use the downloadable PSN/Xbox Live Arcade game Virtua Fighter 5: Final Showdown. Players will be able to compete for prosperity and prizes, with the top 16 players being awarded.

The Sega Cup is a collaboration with Level Up and Alex Valle, and will take place at the Super Arcade in Los Angeles on April 26th, 2014. One has to wonder if Fuudo, who won the Virtua Fighter EVO 2012 tournament, will take part to once again dominate. Here’s to hoping.

Full details on the Sega Cup can be found here. Good luck to all the entrants!
